چکیده
A major challenge in forming polycrystalline aluminum alloy sheets is their strong plastic anisotropy, namely the flow stresses and strains depend on loading direction. This anisotropy due to of constituent crystals preferred orientations that they assume material i.e. crystallographic texture. Recently, [1] we developed a single-crystal yield criterion involves correct number coefficients such as satisfy intrinsic symmetries condition yielding insensitivity hydrostatic pressure. defined for any stress state. It shown model uses this conjunction with appropriate homogenization procedures leads an improved prediction macroscopic properties under uniaxial tension shear loadings 6016-T4. Moreover, results FE simulations cup operations demonstrate predictive capabilities model.

Rigid-plastic finite-element analysis of sheet-metal forming processes using a selective membrane/shell formulation
In most sheet-metal forming processes a large part of the deforming material exhibits stretch-dominant characteristics and the bending effect is found to exist only in a limited portion of the total deforming region. Thus the use of shell or continuum elements for the whole region is not economic. A selective membrane/shell (M/S) scheme is proposed which combines the layered degenerated shell e...
متن کاملA Study on the Forming of Sheet Metal Parts Using Multi-Point Forming Technology
In recent years, in order to reducing die design and manufacturing costs, Multi point forming technique has gained an increasing interest because of its high flexibility. In this process, the conventional fixed shape solid die sets are replaced with a pair of opposite matrices of controllable elements. In this paper, the fundamental principles of multi-point forming was described and the possib...

متن کاملThe Relationship between Constant Friction Factor and Coefficient of Friction in Metal Forming using Finite Element Analysis
Frictional shear stress is usually determined by utilizing the coefficient of friction or the constant friction factor models. The present study deals with finite element analysis of double cup extrusion process to determine the relationship between constant friction factor (m) and coefficient of friction (µ), since the metal flow in this process is very sensitive to frictional conditions. Ther...
متن کاملAnalysis of Sheet Metal Forming Operations by a Stress Resultant Constitutive Law
Sheet metal forming is simulated by finite element methods using a stress resultant constitutive law in this paper. A Lagrangian description of axisymmetric and plane-strain shell deformation is first reviewed. Then a stress resultant constitutive law in rate form is presented, where the effect of thickness reduction due to large plastic deformation is considered. A finite element formulation i...
